MIN-310 Introduction to Biblical Counseling

This course introduces the biblical principles of counseling and outlines the process by which Christian leaders can counsel people with specific problems. The course also explores how biblical and psychological principles may be integrated and applied to counseling issues, and describes the nature and role of the counselor as a person and as a professional.

MIN-311 Ministry Leadership Lab III

This course involves experiential learning within the local church context, wherein students participate in practical ministry and leadership experiences. Students will engage in and reflect on the development of strategic initiatives in partnership with a ministry organization's leadership. Special attention is given to the planning, implementation, and evaluation of ministry-related initiatives, particularly within a team environment. Ministry Leadership Lab III provides the framework for subsequent lab courses in the ministry leadership programs.

MIN-340 Principles of Congregational and Pastoral Care

This course explores principles of congregational and pastoral care from biblical, theological, and practical perspectives. A focus on healthy relationships, modeling pastoral care, and the training and empowerment of God's people to care for others individually and in groups will be explored. Prerequisites: MIN-240, THE-311, BIL-310, BIL-420

MIN-350 Non-Profit Financial Management

This course explores issues relevant to the non-profit and non-profit faith-based organization. Issues of stewardship, mission, accountability, and strategic budgeting will be addressed. Prerequisites: THE-311, BIL-310, and BIL-420

MIN-360 Theology and Leadership of Worship

This course explores the theology and practice of worship as well as the envisioning of worship both theologically and practically. Students will examine theological and theoretical models along with practical approaches in a variety of contexts. Prerequisites: THE-311, BIL-310, and BIL-420

MIN-365 Intimacy and Sexuality in Marriage

This course deals with the subject of intimacy and sexuality within the context of marriage. The course also explores the concepts of identity and intimacy, as well as the common obstacles in developing intimacy. This course also deals with sex education, marriage crisis counseling, gender differences, and sexual conflict areas. Biblical perspectives will be considered.

This course examines the biblical call to whole life discipleship for the individual. In addition, discipleship in a faith community and it's call to multiplication in congregational contexts will be explored. Prerequisites: THE-311, BIL-310, and BIL-420

MIN-378 Missions

This course is designed to familiarize students with the biblical basis of missions, the theology of missions, and what God has done and is doing in this world. The students learn about how churches are called to be missional communities. Not open to students who have credit in REL-275.
