MGT-437 Operations and Supply Chain Management

This course presents concepts and analytical techniques found useful in the management of operations within a manufacturing environment. Students will learn how to apply ethical concepts and knowledge that will enhance productivity, improve product quality, and increase operator safety. Learning how to balance productivity, improve human relations, and manage supply chains within the manufacturing process will be presented. Students will also learn how to recognize, identify, and solve problems in the manufacturing environment that lead to business optimization and sustainability. Common concepts, terminology, and insights that lead to lean manufacturing through sustainable business practices will be presented. Integration of a biblical and spiritual worldview within the context of operations management will be discussed.
