MGT-215 Introduction to Business Management

This course provides students the opportunity to learn the role and work of managers in organizations. Different leadership styles, and their impact on organizations, will be compared and contrasted. The five primary functions of management-planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling will be reviewed and applied to practical business scenarios. Students will learn how to conduct a data analysis and use it for decision making in a real-world business situation. A review of the strategic planning process and how strategies are implemented in an organization will be addressed. An ethical and biblical framework will be applied to various business management scenarios throughout the course.

MGT-290 Operations Management Capstone

This capstone course is designed for students to work on individual topics of their choice that aligns with the specialty that reflects their study in Operations Management. Students will develop a proposal and present a final paper for a project of their choice that focuses on an overall problem found in Organizational Management. Students will then analyze the human resources, capacities, activities, and measurements as part of developing an organizational strategy. A biblical and ethical worldview will be integrated into the final Operational Management project. Prerequisite: successful completion of all core courses
