PROJ-610 Introduction to Project Management

This course introduces the principles of project management. It examines the broad field of project management and the relationships between project management knowledge areas, process groups, and component processes. Students will be able to distinguish the differences between predictive and adaptive project management practices. The methods used to plan and initiate projects will be addressed. Approaches and leadership skills needed to formulate teams and execute project management plans will be discussed. Students will have an opportunity to take a Project Management Professional (PMP) preparation exam as part of the course.
