This course involves research-based methodologies for managing the elementary classroom. Legal, procedural, behavioral, and physical environment expectations related to classroom management that impact student learning are explored. Access to an elementary classroom setting required. This course examines multiple, developmentally appropriate approaches and methods of teaching in elementary education. The candidates also examine cultural responsiveness, global awareness, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and differentiation in the context of the different teaching approaches and methods. This course examines various approaches to teaching and learning in secondary education. This course addresses differentiated instruction, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), project-based learning, cultural competency, and global competency. Prerequisite: EDUT-211
