EDUT-205 Educational Psychology for Elementary Educators
This course examines a broad understanding of elementary students' development that informs teachers' classroom practices. Candidates study major theories and processes related to the cognitive, social, including constructivism, cognitivism, behaviorism, connectivism, humanism, and developmental theories related to elementary children. Candidates acquire knowledge of theory-based instructional strategies that are responsive to elementary students' differences, which promotes development and learning for all students. Additionally, candidates analyze characteristics of effective teachers and develop a philosophy of teaching. Prerequisite: EDUT-210
