DNPA-785 Advanced Nurse Anesthesia Practicum and Clinical Correlation III
This sixth clinical practicum course completes the learning process by continuing to challenge students to perform at autonomous levels as rotations are completed in the anesthesia subspecialties of pediatrics, obstetrics, cardiovascular, and neurosurgery. Expectations for independent decision-making and refined cognitive and technical skills are maximized. Students' clinical performance will be continually evaluated, and students will be appraised of their progress. Formative evaluations by the clinical preceptor, terminal summative evaluations by CRNA faculty, and terminal self-reflective evaluations by the student will document the maintenance of competent skills and readiness to successfully enter advanced practice as a nurse anesthetist. Conferences, case studies, and journal club are a continued requirement. Prerequisite: DNPA-784
