DNPA-781 Nurse Anesthesia Practicum II
This second clinical practicum course challenges students to perform at an advanced beginner level to integrate evidence-based and patient-specific anesthetic management plans for a diverse patient population across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on implementing anesthetic care, analyzing patient response, evaluating outcomes, and revising management plans as indicated. Students' clinical performance will be continually evaluated, and students will be appraised of their progress. Formative evaluations by the clinical preceptor, summative evaluations by CRNA faculty, and self-reflective evaluations by the student will direct and document the development of advanced beginner skills in this course. Students will have the opportunity for hands-on simulated experiences to prepare for clinical rotations in a variety of clinical settings. Prerequisite: DNPA-780
