HADM-545 Organizational Behavior and Human Resources in Healthcare
This course introduces students to major theories and concepts of organizational behavior and human resources applicable to the healthcare environment. Students will explore the strategic role in healthcare organizations of the human resource management functional areas of workforce planning, recruitment, hiring, supervision, motivation, training, and evaluation. Course content promotes an understanding of dynamics between people, teams and organizations. Topics include diversity and cultural competence, leadership styles, organization culture, change management and regulatory policies, and human resource requirements as they relate to healthcare settings. Students will apply virtuous business principles to human resources and organizational behavior practices.
