AVP - Aviation Pilot

This course provides students instruction to prepare for the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Private Pilot Airplane Knowledge Test. Topics include flight safety, basic aerodynamics, airplane systems and instruments, weight and balance, aircraft performance, aviation weather, flight physiology, navigation and communication, the Air Traffic Control and airspace system, and Federal regulations. Credit for this course is contingent on passing the FAA Private Pilot Airplane Knowledge exam with a mandatory minimum passing score of 70%. To pass the course, students must pass the exam within two (2) attempts. If additional exam attempts are required, students may require additional hours of ground school instruction beyond the course minimum to pass the course, resulting in additional fees. Students who possess and present a valid FAA Private Pilot Certificate will be granted credit for this course. The course is to be taken concurrently with AVP-102

This course prepares students for the required FAA Private Pilot Airplane Practical Test. The course is designed to train students to perform to current Airmen Certification Standards (ACS) in ground and flight operations. Students will learn take-off and landing, basic flight maneuvers, cross-country methods, communication, night flying, and emergency procedures. Instruction is given in single-engine aircraft and approved simulators. Applicable fees will apply. Students must possess a FAA Class 3 or above FAA Medical Certificate and be at least 17 years old upon completion. Credit for this course is contingent on passing the FAA Private Pilot Certificate Practical Exam. If additional exam attempts are required, students may require additional hours of flight instruction beyond the course minimum to pass the course, resulting in additional fees. Students who possess and present a valid FAA Private Pilot Certificate will be granted credit for this course. This course is taken concurrently with AVP-101

This course provides students instruction to prepare for the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Instrument Rating-Airplane Knowledge Test. Topics include IFR enroute and approach procedures, IFR navigation, safe and efficient IFR operations, weather reports and forecasts, critical weather, Air Traffic Control and procedures, Federal regulations, aeronautical decision-making, and crew resource management. Credit for this course is contingent on passing the FAA Instrument Rating Knowledge exam with a mandatory minimum passing score of 70%. To pass the course, students must pass the exam within two (2) attempts. If additional exam attempts are required, students may require additional hours of ground school instruction beyond the course minimum to pass the course, resulting in additional fees. Students who possess and present a valid FAA Pilot Certificate with an Instrument Rating will be granted credit for this course. The course is to be taken concurrently with AVP-112. Prerequisite: AVP-101 and AVP-102

This course prepares students for the required FAA Instrument Rating - Airplane Practical Test. The course is designed to train students to perform to current Airmen Certification Standards (ACS) in ground and flight operations. Students will learn preflight preparation and procedures, ATC procedures, flight by reference to instruments, navigation systems, instrument approach procedures, emergency operations, and postflight procedures. Instruction is given in single-engine aircraft and approved simulators and is taken concurrently with AVP-111. Applicable fees will apply. Students must possess a FAA Class 3 or above FAA Medical Certificate and be at least 17 years old upon completion. Credit for this course is contingent on passing the FAA Instrument Rating Certificate Practical Exam. If additional exam attempts are required, students may require additional hours of flight instruction beyond the course minimum to pass the course, resulting in additional fees. Students who possess and present a valid FAA Pilot Certificate with an Instrument Rating will be granted credit for this course. The course is to be taken concurrently with AVP-111. Prerequisite: AVP-101 and AVP-102

Topics include flight safety, advanced aerodynamics, aircraft performance charts and limitations, weight and balance, complex aircraft performance, aviation weather, high altitude physiology, navigation and communication, the Air Traffic Control and national airspace system, Federal regulations pertaining to commercial operations. Credit for this course is contingent on passing the FAA Commercial Pilot Airplane Knowledge exam with a mandatory minimum passing score of 70%. To pass the course, students must pass the exam within two (2) attempts. If additional exam attempts are required, students may require additional hours of ground school instruction beyond the course minimum to pass the course, resulting in additional fees. Students who possess and present a valid FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate will be granted credit for this course. The course is to be taken concurrently with AVP-202, unless approved otherwise. Students will learn preflight preparation and procedures, airport operations, takeoffs, landings, go-arounds, performance and ground reference maneuvers, navigation, slow flight and stalls, high altitude operations, emergency operations, and postflight procedures. Instruction is given in single-engine aircraft and approved simulators. Applicable fees will apply. Students must possess an FAA Class 2 or above FAA Medical Certificate and be at least 18 years old upon completion. Students who possess and present a valid FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate will be granted credit for this course. The course is to be taken concurrently with AVP-201, unless approved otherwise. Pre-requisite: AVP-101, AVP-102

This course is a continuation of Commercial Pilot Flight Training with emphasis on cross country time building and demonstrating mastery of the skills introduced in AVP-202 Commercial Pilot Flight Training I. Applicable fees will apply. Students must possess a FAA Class 2 or above FAA Medical Certificate and be at least 18 years old upon completion. Credit for this course is contingent on passing the FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate Practical Exam. If additional exam attempts are required, students may require additional hours of flight instruction beyond the course minimum to pass the course, resulting in additional fees. Students who possess and present a valid FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate will be granted credit for this course and AVP-202 Commercial Flight Training I. This course provides students instruction to prepare for the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) to successfully complete the Fundamentals of Instructing Knowledge Test and Flight Instructor-Airplane Knowledge Test. Students will learn human behavior and effective communication, the learning process, the teaching process, instructor responsibilities and professionalism, techniques of flight instruction, and risk management. They will also demonstrate mastery of the technical knowledge from private through the commercial certificate, including logbook entries and endorsements. Credit for this course is contingent on passing the FAA Fundamentals of Instructing and Flight Instructor-Airplane Knowledge tests with a mandatory minimum passing score of 70%. To pass the course, students must pass each exam within two (2) attempts. If additional exam attempts are required, students may require additional hours of ground school instruction beyond the course minimum to pass the course, resulting in additional fees. Students who possess and present a valid FAA Flight Instructor Certificate will be granted credit for this course. The course is to be taken concurrently with flight lessons. This course prepares students for the required FAA Flight Instructor - Instrument Knowledge Exam and Practical Test. The course is designed to train students to perform to current Airmen Certification Standards (ACS) in ground and flight operations. Students will review all the knowledge areas for the instrument rating and learn to teach preflight preparation and procedures, ATC procedures, flight by reference to instruments, navigation systems, instrument approach procedures, emergency operations, and post-flight procedures. Instruction is given in single-engine aircraft. Students require a Class 2 or above FAA Medical Certificate and be at least 18 years old upon completion. Credit for this course is contingent on passing the FAA Flight Instructor - Instrument Knowledge and Practical Exams. If additional exam attempts are required, students may require additional hours of flight instruction beyond the course minimum to pass the course, resulting in additional fees. Students who possess and present a valid FAA Flight Instructor- Instrument Certificate will be granted credit for this course. This course bridges the knowledge gap between a pilot who holds a commercial pilot certificate and an airline transport pilot including the duties, responsibilities, and challenges of an air carrier environment. The course includes the knowledge, instruction, and practical experience hours needed to meet the training requirements of 14 CFR §61.156 for the Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) and/or ATP Restricted (ATP-R) certificate with airplane category multiengine class rating or an ATP certificate issued concurrently with an airplane type rating. Students who possess and present a valid FAA approved ATP-CTP Certificate of Completion will be granted credit for this course. The recommended pre-requisite course is Commercial Pilot Certificate, or completion of AVP-201.

This course prepares students for the required FAA Commercial Pilot Airplane Practical Test. The course is designed to train students to the current Airmen Certification Standards (ACS) in ground and flight operations for the Commercial Pilot Certificate-Multi-engine Class. Students will learn preflight preparation and procedures, airport operations, take-offs, landings, go-arounds, performance and ground reference maneuvers, slow flight and stalls, IFR operations, emergency and engine-out operations, and post-flight procedures. Instruction is given in multi-engine aircraft and approved simulators. Applicable fees will apply. Students must possess an FAA Class 2 or above FAA Medical Certificate and be at least 18 years old upon completion. Prerequisite: AVP-101, AVP-102, AVP-111, AVP-112, AVP-201, AVP-202, AVP-203

This course prepares students for the required FAA Flight Instructor - Multi-engine Practical Test. The course is designed to train students to perform to current Airmen Certification Standards (ACS) in ground and flight operations. Students will learn to teach preflight preparation and procedures, airport operations, take-offs, landings, go-arounds, performance and ground reference maneuvers, navigation, slow flight and stalls, emergency and engine-out operations, and post-flight procedures. Instruction is given in multi-engine aircraft. Students require a Class 2 or above FAA Medical Certificate and be at least 18 years old upon completion. Credit for this course is contingent on passing the FAA Flight Instructor - Multi-Engine Practical Exam. If additional exam attempts are required, students may require additional hours of flight instruction beyond the course minimum to pass the course, resulting in additional fees. Students who possess and present a valid FAA Flight Instructor - Multi-engine Certificate will be granted credit for this course. Prerequisite: AVP-211, AVP-212, AVP-221

This course introduces the aeronautical knowledge required for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate. Topics include regulations, publications, airspace, aerodynamics, aircraft systems, meteorology theory, air traffic control, navigation systems, instrument flight procedures, and aviation safety. Successful completion is contingent upon passing the Aircraft Dispatcher Knowledge Test (ADX). Credit is granted for students who present a valid and current FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate, or evidence of a passing score on the ADX Knowledge Exam.

This course provides the practical skills required for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aircraft Dispatcher certificate. Topics include flight planning, aircraft scheduling, flight tracking and control, flight re-routing, aircraft performance and fuel computations, weight and balance, aircrew human factors, airline safety, and emergency procedures. Successful completion is contingent upon passing the FAA Aircraft Dispatcher practical exam. Credit is granted for students who present a valid and current FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate.
