MAT-114 Trigonometry

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the field of trigonometry. Students will develop a deep understanding of trigonometric functions, including sine, cosine, tangent, and their inverses. The course will cover topics in analytic trigonometry, such as trigonometric identities, equations, and solutions of triangles. Students will also explore polar coordinates and the relationships between polar and Cartesian coordinate systems. The course will culminate in an introduction to conic sections, including circles, ellipses, parabolas, and hyperbolas, and how they can be represented in both Cartesian and polar coordinates. Prerequisite: MAT-113 or MAT-116
