Designing Education reimagines adolescent education by exploring the intersection of adolescent development, diversity, and innovative teaching. This course empowers candidates to address cognitive, linguistic, social, emotional, physical, and moral growth while navigating diversity, exceptionalities, and second-language acquisition. Candidates will learn to craft inclusive, student-centered, and differentiated learning experiences, integrating project-based methodologies and evidence-based practices. Through curriculum mapping and creative instructional design, candidates will tackle developmental challenges such as identity formation, risk-taking, and self-esteem, linking rigorous instruction to students' experiences and aspirations. By the end of the course, candidates will be equipped to inspire transformative learning and foster success for all students. Field experiences are required.
