EDUT-410 Empowering Innovators: Dynamic Teaching for the Modern Classroom

Empowering Innovators prepares candidates to inspire critical thinking, creativity, and independent learning in diverse middle school or secondary content area (e.g., science, mathematics, English/Language Arts) classrooms. This course integrates project-based learning, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and culturally responsive teaching to create inclusive, flexible, and engaging environments that promote global awareness and real-world problem-solving. Candidates will explore strategies for leveraging digital tools, interdisciplinary approaches, and effective communication techniques to design data-driven instruction. Emphasizing formative and summative assessments, reflection, and goal setting, the course equips candidates to foster student engagement, motivation, and success in the modern, interconnected world. Field experiences are required. Prerequisite: EDUT-350
