Master of Science Programs

The Master of Science degree programs are designed for practicing classroom teachers seeking advanced teacher preparation with a graduate degree.

The curriculum will be completed in the order established by Indiana Wesleyan University. Indiana Wesleyan University reserves the right to modify the curriculum as necessary. All master of science programs include a common core of classes that will allow graduate students to examine their educational perspectives, understanding and practices, and prepare and complete an action research study in their own classroom or school context. For this reason, it is important that master’s degree students have access to a classroom or school that will allow them to apply their coursework.

The mission of the Master of Science programs is to prepare teacher leaders to provide advanced knowledge that translates into effective teaching performances and dispositions, all of which are focused on improving P-12 student learning.

The purpose of the Master of Science programs is to provide advanced study beyond the baccalaureate degree to meet the professional needs of practicing teachers to help them touch heaven and change earth.
