SCI-101 First-Year Science Seminar

This course is designed to onboard first-year science students to majors in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields where students serve as "world-changers." Students will learn about STEM majors at IWU, create four-year academic plans, learn to use common computer programs essential for successfully completing laboratory courses, and techniques for improved learning and time management. This course does not fulfill any of the General Education requirements of the institution.

SCI-110 Preparing the Christian STEM Professional

This course is designed to introduce students to a broad range of science careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields where students can be "world-changers." Students will research STEM careers, create a professional plan to pursue a STEM profession, and meet current STEM students and STEM professionals. This course does not fulfill any of the General Education requirements of the institution.

SCI-121 Enginerring Design

This course will empower students to explore, create, and refine real-world solutions. From defining key criteria to building and testing prototypes, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the engineering design process. Students will gain valuable insights into the problem-solving mindset of engineers, exploring topics like data analysis, model development, and iterative testing to enhance their skills.
