Undergraduate Certificate - Healthcare Marketing
Students in the Healthcare Marketing Certificate program will explore marketing as a strategic function of healthcare organizations. Through this program students will apply basic marketing principles to the healthcare industry, contrast strategies which utilize digital marketing, traditional marketing, and brand strategies, explore effective content communication strategies within marketing campaigns, and analyze the ways healthcare delivery models act as change agents in healthcare marketing. Additionally, students will examine a 360-degree marketing communication strategy designed to reach all healthcare stakeholders and apply virtuous business principles to marketing efforts in the healthcare environment.
Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:
- Apply basic marketing principles to the healthcare industry.
- Contrast traditional marketing, digital marketing, and branding strategies.
- Explore the effective use of audio, display, and content communication strategies within a marketing campaign.
- Analyze the various healthcare delivery models as change agents of healthcare marketing.
- Examine a 360-degree marketing communication strategy to reach all stakeholders.
- Apply virtuous business principles to marketing efforts in the healthcare environment.
Admissions Requirements
- Accepted as a regular degree seeking student or as an unclassified student.
- Unclassified student requires proof of high school graduation or GED certification.
Transfer credit for certification requirements within the DeVoe School of Business, Technology, & Leadership, College of Adult and Professional Studies, may be granted as follows:
- Credit documented on an original transcript awarded by a college or university that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by both the U.S. Department of Education (ED) and the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) with a minimum grade of "C."
- Credit documented on a JST or CCAF transcript for training received in any MOS, NEC system, AFSC, and Coast Guard Ratings.
- Up to 6 credit hours from a previously-awarded associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree may be applied to fulfill the requirements of an undergraduate certificate.
Graduation Requirements
- Completion of 12 credit hours.
- Minimum grade of “C” in each course.
- Payment of all tuition and fees is required to receive certificate.
