DeVoe School of Business, Technology, & Leadership

The DeVoe School of Business, Technology, & Leadership supports the university mission to be a Christ-centered institution of higher education and challenges our students to develop character, strengthen their scholarship, and enhance their leadership abilities. The School offers dynamic programs that adapt to the changing nature of knowledge, such as the impact of globalization and technology on the business field. Through extensive curriculum development and program assessment processes, the School's intensive curriculum builds on the knowledge students bring to the classroom and helps shape them into lifelong learners. The School provides degree-oriented education opportunities to working adults when occupation and family responsibilities make it difficult to spend major blocks of time in residence on campus. With many of DeVoe School of Business, Technology, & Leadership alumni choosing to continue to reside in the communities served, the School's programs and graduates are a key component in workforce development.

ACBSP ACCREDITATION

The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) is a leading specialized business accreditation association committed to advancing excellence in business education worldwide and accredits programs at the associate, baccalaureate, master and doctorate levels. ACBSP evaluates aspects of leadership, strategic planning, relationships with stakeholders, faculty credentials, educational support and the quality of academic programs. Through their evaluation, ACBSP determines whether or not business programs offer an educational experience that is rigorous and committed to continuous quality improvement. The accounting programs offered by the DeVoe School of Business, Technology, & Leadership have also attained a separate accounting ACBSP accreditation. This separate distinction allows students graduating from these programs to undergo less scrutiny of transcripts and to be determined to have met the recommended requirements to sit for the Certified Public Accounting (CPA) examination.
