BS - Management
The Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Management emphasizes skill development in business management. This includes analysis and problem solving, the application of global perspectives, the identification of appropriate methods of communication, the application of relevant technologies, and developing ethical solutions using critical thinking. All skills are examined within a biblical framework.
This program is also offered as a Competency-Based and is designed so students can progress through the program at their own pace. Students in this program will be required to demonstrate their competency in workplace skills that emphasize communication, teamwork, critical analysis, problem solving, the application of global perspectives, the application of relevant technologies and developing ethical solutions. A series of summative assessments will be used in the program to gauge students’ level of competency for each course and program outcome along with the associated workplace skill. All outcomes and workplace skills are examined within a biblical framework.
Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:

A minor in Management is available to a bachelor degree seeking student in the College of Adult and Professional Studies.
Management Minor
The curriculum will be completed in the order established by Indiana Wesleyan University. Indiana Wesleyan University reserves the right to modify the curriculum as necessary.
Admission Requirements
The admission requirements for Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Management offered through the College of Adult and Professional Studies are as follows:
- Proof of high school graduation or GED certification.
- Original transcripts from all previous college or university study at a college or university that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by both the U.S. Department of Education (USDoE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
- Prior completion of at least 60 transferable credit hours is required before the student is eligible to start a bachelor core program.
- Competency-Based students - Submission of a resume that documents a minimum of three-years supervisory and managerial experience. This experience must focus on a role in managing others. Experience may be in a paid or volunteer position and can be performed in a variety of institutions and organizations including (but not limited to): business, non-profit, civic, educational, medical, religious or government.
Transfer Credit Policy
Transfer credit for core curriculum requirements for undergraduate programs within the DeVoe School of Business may be granted as follows:
- Credit must have been earned at a college or university that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by both the U.S. Department of Education (USDoE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) with a minimum grade of "C".
- Courses must be approved by the DeVoe School of Business.
- Students must complete at least 30 hours of the core curriculum at Indiana Wesleyan University.
Graduation Requirements
To graduate with a baccalaureate degree with a major in Management from the College of Adult and Professional Studies at Indiana Wesleyan University, the following requirements must be met:
- Completion of 120 semester hours.
- Completion of the required core courses with a GPA of 2.25 or higher.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
- Completion of 30 hours of general education requirements as specified (General Education Requirements).
- Payment of all tuition and fees is required to receive a diploma.
