EDUT-542 The Science of Teaching Reading
This course provides a theoretical foundation for the science of teaching readings. Candidates will explore Scientifically-based Reading Research (SBRR), theoretical frameworks, and instructional models for P-3 students. Knowledge of SBRR is used to design literacy activities that incorporate digital and non-digital SBRR-compatible texts and instructional materials. Supervised field experiences are required. Prerequisite: EDUT-514
