EDUT-524 Parents, Families, and Community Partnerships

This course includes an examination of the historical evolution of the family, the role family involvement plays in child development, and the development of communication strategies. It provides a framework for building effective and reciprocal home-school relationships and partnerships. The role of teacher as advocate is explored. Field experiences are required. Prerequisite: EDUT-542
