MS - Associate to MS - Management - Information Technology Management Specialization
The Associate to Master of Science with a major in Management and a specialization in Information Technology Management program is designed for students who desire additional study in order to expand and enhance their ability to contribute to their career path, company, and society. This program requires students to be working 21 hours per week in a paid or non-paid position, which may include: current employment in a full- or part-time professional position (provided this employment is appropriate for a training opportunity, considering the goals and requirements of the degree program), participation in job shadowing, or participation in an internship.
Students in this program synthesize organizational management knowledge and skills, analyze internal and external business environments and formulate relevant business and communication strategies and solutions needed to ethically lead, plan, organize, and control organizations. Students develop their own personal management capabilities and integrate a biblical framework that guides interactions within the business environment and workplace.
Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:
- Synthesize organizational management knowledge and skills needed to lead, plan, organize, and control.
- Evaluate personal management capabilities and design a plan for continual growth.
- Analyze internal and external business environments and formulate relevant strategies and solutions.
- Apply ethical theories and concepts to business decisions and solutions.
- Implement appropriate communication strategies to achieve organization goals.
- Integrate a biblical framework that guides interactions within the business environment and workplace.
- Appraise information systems infrastructure, as well as security, legal, and compliance requirements to produce effective technology solutions for specific organizational problems.
The curriculum will be completed in the order established by Indiana Wesleyan University. Indiana Wesleyan University reserves the right to modify the curriculum and locations offered as necessary.
Admission Requirements

An associate’s degree, verified on original transcripts sent directly to IWU by the institution, from a college or university that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by both the U.S. Department of Education (ED) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

An undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher from the associate degree granting institution. If an applicant's GPA is below 3.0, the student may be admitted on a probationary basis, as established by the guidelines of the DeVoe School of Business, Technology, & Leadership.
Program Requirements
Before starting the graduate MSM courses, students must complete an undergraduate bridge program of 24 credit hours.
- A grade of "B" or higher must be earned in the bridge courses.
- Students may not transfer undergraduate credits earned from other institutions.
- Students may elect to transfer out of the AS-MSM into other IWU undergraduate programs. Classes taken in this program can apply toward a program of study in another program as appropriate, if the minimum grade requirement for that program has been meet.
Graduation Requirements
To graduate, students must have completed all of the following:
- All graduate credits required in the Master of Science with a major in Management curriculum sequence with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and a minimum grade of “C” in each course. A grade of "C-" or below will require the course to be repeated.
- Overall GPA of 3.0 in all IWU graduate work.
- Payment of all tuition and fees is required to receive a diploma.
