MS - Christian School Education Major

The Master of Science (M.S.) program with a major in Christian School Education is designed to provide an advanced degree in Christian Education to educators who teach in Christian schools or aspire to careers in Christian school teaching and administration, either internationally or domestically. Candidates will complete a 36-credit hour program (12 courses) that brings a more purposeful and distinct Christian faith-integration to timeless aspects of educator development such as worldview, curriculum, assessment, instruction, administration, and learning environments across the P-12 spectrum. Courses are designed to provide participants with an essential mix of theory and practice in these areas, and allow them to deepen their understanding in areas such as differentiation, culturally responsive teaching and social justice, ethics and faith, technology integration, and current topics and research. Courses are offered online in English, or under pre-arranged circumstances may be offered in a hybrid format (onsite and online) in a native language such as Spanish or French. Limited field experiences within one's own classroom or school are required in some courses.

This program will not lead to teacher or administrative licensure in any state, country, or other jurisdiction. Candidates will be responsible to determine the extent to which the program suits any required or desired professional development, or other career goals.
