BSN to DNP - Doctor of Nursing Practice - FNP Specialization
The Post-Baccalaureate Doctor of Nursing Practice program prepares nurses with a baccalaureate degree in nursing (BS or BSN) to achieve a doctoral degree. The program is designed to equip advanced practice nurses (APRNs) to practice at the highest level of leadership, scholarship, and character to be world changers in global healthcare systems. The focus of primary care is the interrelationship of theory, research, and evidence-based practice. Graduates of the program are eligible to apply for family nurse practitioner certification by the appropriate credentialing body.
The Doctor of Nursing Practice program with the specialization of Family Nurse Practitioner will prepare graduates to:
- Synthesize contemporary issues in relation to organizations.
- Apply an evidence-based approach in advanced practice across the lifespan.
- Collaborate with interprofessional teams to improve health outcomes in individuals, families, and diverse populations.
- Synthesize principles of leadership in the evaluation and resolution of ethical and legal issues within healthcare systems.
- Integrate character, scholarship, and leadership in advanced nursing practice.
- Develop an innovative approach to evidence-based practice.
- Provide culturally relevant health care from a biblical perspective.
