Specialization in Church History
A specialization in Church History will prepare a student to analyze the beliefs and practices of the history of Christianity and to evaluate contemporary beliefs and practices in dialogue with history of Christianity.
The specialization will total 12 semester hours with at least 9 hours from Historical Theology.
In addition to the Master of Divinity learning outcomes, students with a specialization in Church History should, with graduate-level competency, be able to:
- Analyze the beliefs and practices of the history of Christianity.
- Evaluate contemporary beliefs and practices in dialogue with history of Christianity.
Specializations
Specialization in Church History (15 credits)
The specialization will total 12 semester hours with at least 9 hours from Historical Theology.
Historical Theology
Must take at least 9 hours.
Systematic and Biblical Theology
May take up to 3 hours.
