MS - Management - Data Analytics Specialization

The Master of Science with a major in Management and a specialization in Data Analytics program is designed for practicing professionals who possess a bachelor's degree in business, technology, or data analytics, or possess an advanced degree in another area of specialization. Students participating in this program desire additional study in order to expand and enhance their ability to contribute to their career path, company, and society. This program allows students to be engaged in working in a paid or non-paid position, (provided this employment is appropriate for a training opportunity, considering the goals and requirements of the degree program), which may include current employment in a full- or part-time professional position, participation in job shadowing, or participation in an internship. Additionally, the program provides a foundation for future employment to extend the academic experience with practical training as noted above.

Students in this program of study will synthesize organizational management knowledge and skills, analyze internal and external business environments and formulate relevant business and communication strategies and solutions needed to ethically lead, plan, organize, and control organizations. Students develop their own personal management capabilities and integrate a biblical framework that guides interactions within the business environment and workplace. This degree is structured so that students will have the option of selecting a set of courses in a specific field to constitute a specialization for the degree.

Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:

  • Synthesize organizational management knowledge and skills needed to lead, plan, organize, and control.
  • Evaluate personal management capabilities and design a plan for continual growth.
  • Analyze internal and external business environments and formulate relevant strategies and solutions.
  • Apply ethical theories and concepts to business decisions and solutions.
  • Implement appropriate communication strategies to achieve organization goals.
  • Integrate a biblical framework that guides interactions within the business environment and workplace.
  • Apply theoretical and practical knowledge to plan, organize, analyze and report data results to support business decision making.

The curriculum will be completed in the order established by Indiana Wesleyan University. Indiana Wesleyan University reserves the right to modify the curriculum and locations offered as necessary.
