Student Life and Activities

Student organizations and other activities provide co-curricular and extracurricular opportunities on campus in leadership and personal growth. Students are encouraged to participate in a variety of campus student organizations and activities with the intent to develop leadership skills as well as grow spiritually. The following groups and activities are designed to meet students’ needs and interests:

Student Government Association

MISSION: In order to connect and support all members of the IWU Marion community, we as student leaders work to understand your experiences, communicate your perspectives, and cultivate unity among our differences.

Student Activities Council

MISSION: To serve the overall student body in their involvement and co-curricular development, we implement events and gatherings that enrich the college experience by upholding tradition and fostering a flourishing community.
PURPOSE: Our focus is to engage all students and provide communal opportunities to develop a sense of belonging by planning and implementing inclusive and welcoming events that interest students with fun and relevant themes that are purposeful and timely.

Student Organizations

IWU proudly offers many opportunities for students to be involved in extracurricular activities. There are about 20 student organizations organized and ran by students, and are designed to meet a variety of interests. Student organizations represent interests in academic, social issues, recreation and student publications. Other student leadership opportunities exist in the New Student Orientation Program.
