Undergraduate Certificate - Web Development
The Web Development Certificate is designed to prepare students to design, develop and maintain a professional website using industry standard software and practices. Current coding languages will be used in web development projects. Interface design, coding and usage of database technology including Structured Query Language (SQL) and Non-Structured Query Language (NoSQL) in developing web sites. Students will have the opportunity to build web enabled and service applications in websites. A biblical framework to applications in the web development field will be integrated throughout the curriculum.
Students are required to utilize a laptop computer (either PC or MacBook) for this program.
- Minimum: PC (Windows) or MacBook laptop. 4GM ram, 256GM HD, Core i5.
- Recommended: PC (Windows) or MacBook laptop. 8 GB ram, 256 GM SSD, Core i5. Students will be downloading programming resources and it will also house coding projects.
Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:
- Utilize current coding languages in web development projects.
- Demonstrate skills in interface design, coding and usage of database technology in developing web sites
- Build web enabled and service applications in websites.
- Develop Structured Query Language (SQL) and Non-Structured Query Language (NoSQL) database applications.
- Integrate a biblical framework to applications in the web development field.
Admissions Requirements
- Accepted as a regular degree seeking student or as an unclassified student.
- Unclassified student requires proof of high school graduation.
- Previous web development courses taken at another institution will not be transferable into or equated to courses in this certificate.
Graduation Requirements
- 18 credit hours from the courses specified in the certificate program.
- Minimum grade of “C” in each course.
- Payment of all tuition and fees is required to receive certificate.
