Open House Hours
Open house hours provide resident students the opportunity for informal interaction and interpersonal growth within the context of the residence hall atmosphere.
As always, but particularly during open house hours, it is expected that students will conduct themselves with discretion and respect the rights of others. They must be careful to maintain a Biblical standard of morality and be sensitive to community standards of good taste and decency. Residence life will publish each residence hall’s schedule for open house hours.
The RAs will provide supervision during open house hours. Open house hours are not intended to provide complete privacy. Therefore, in order to maintain a suitable environment during open house hours:
• All guests must register at the front desk (except in the Lodges and South Townhouses);
• Doors must remain fully open;
• A significant source of light (lamp or overhead light) must remain on while guests are present;
• Excessive or offensive public displays of affection (PDA) must be avoided;
• Noise levels must stay within quiet/courtesy levels.
