BS - Biblical Studies

The Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biblical Studies focuses on studying Scripture carefully and theologically employing the inductive Bible study approach. Students will delve into the background, genre, contents, and theological themes of most books and blocks of the Bible. Attention will also be given to cultural and philosophical dynamics, both in the interpretation and application of Scripture. The focus on Scripture will be complemented by material on theology, spirituality, leadership, and teaching. Graduates will be prepared to serve in ministry positions, especially in roles that emphasize preaching and teaching the Bible and/or as preparation for Masters level divinity, ministry, or Biblical Studies.
