Student Handbook 2020-2021

Dancing

With regard to dancing, students are expected to use discernment to avoid environments and activities that could compromise their character and integrity. Students are not permitted to go to dancing events at bars, nightclubs, or locations where alcohol is sold or provided (with the exception of weddings or other family hosted events). Student dancing should not be sexually suggestive in nature (this includes but is not limited to groping, grinding, and touching of sexually related body parts such as the breast, buttocks, or genital areas).

Only recognized campus entities (including departments, residence halls, student organizations, teams, etc.) can host an on-campus event with dancing.  Campus entities must receive the prior approval of Student Development and comply with all University policies. Additionally, in order to minimize disruption and adhere to fire safety building capacity guidelines, dancing events cannot be hosted in residence hall rooms/suites/apartments.
