MS - Dual Degree and Major Program - MS and MBA
The Master of Business Administration with a major in Project Management and Master of Science with a major in Management and specialization in Information Technology Management is a dual degree program designed to further develop business leaders with strong business, management, project management, and information technology knowledge and skills. Students will learn to make ethical decisions while creating solutions to complex business problems. In addition, creating appropriate communications strategies to achieve organizational goals will be addressed. Applying project management theories and skills and appraising information systems infrastructures will be emphasized. The integration of a biblical framework that guides interactions within the business environment and workplace will be incorporated throughout the program of study.
Note: Students with a current Project Management Professional (PMP) certification will not need to take PROJ-610, PROJ-620, PROJ-630, PROJ-640, and PROJ-660.
Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:
- Evaluate personal leadership and management capabilities.
- Design a plan for self-improvement and continual growth.
- Synthesize ethical standards in decision-making and strategy development.
- Create appropriate communication strategies to achieve organizational goals.
- Design solutions and strategies for complex internal and external business problems.
- Integrate critical thinking and analysis with business administration and management disciplines to ensure mission success.
- Appraise information systems infrastructure, as well as security, legal and compliance requirements to address organizational technology problems.
- Demonstrate competency in project management theory and practice.
- Integrate a biblical framework that guides interactions within the business environment.
The curriculum will be completed in the order established by Indiana Wesleyan University. Indiana Wesleyan University reserves the right to modify the curriculum and locations offered as necessary.
Admission Requirements
Requirements for admission to the dual Master of Business Administration and Master of Science degree program are as follows:

A baccalaureate or graduate degree from a college or university that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by both the U.S. Department of Education (ED) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) verified on original transcripts sent by the institution directly to Indiana Wesleyan University.

An undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher from the baccalaureate degree granting institution at which at least a minimum of 30 hours was completed. If an applicant's GPA is below 2.5, the student may be admitted on a probationary basis, as established by the guidelines of the DeVoe School of Business.
Graduation Requirements
To graduate, students must have completed all of the following:
- All credits required in the curriculum sequence with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and a minimum grade of “C” in each course. A grade of "C-" or below will require the course to be repeated.
- Overall GPA of 3.0 in all IWU graduate work.
- The dual degree MBA - Project Management & MSM - Information Technology Management must be completed within a maximum of five years from the date of enrollment.
- Payment of all tuition and fees is required to receive a diploma.
