Certificate - Human Trafficking Studies
The Certificate in Human Trafficking Studies will provide the learner with a foundational knowledge of human trafficking principles, policies and approaches. This groundwork is applicable to all disciplines. The knowledge gained will enhance the learner’s ability to engage in the anti-human trafficking arena in their respective disciplines and broaden individual knowledge base.
Upon completion of this certificate program, students should be able to:
- Evaluate the multiple components of human trafficking.
- Effectively engage with other professions involved in anti-trafficking efforts.
- Integrate principles of scholarship, leadership, and service to the arena of human trafficking.
- Evaluate self as a change agent in the human trafficking arena.
- Explore the realities of human trafficking.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Accepted as a regular degree seeking student or as an unclassified student.
- Official college or university transcripts showing completion of 60 or more credit hours.
PROGRESSION REQUIREMENTS
- First two courses NUR-321 and NUR-322 (or alternatives) must be completed with a grade of "C" or higher to progress in program.
COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS
- 12 credit hours from the selected courses in the specified certificate area.
- Grade of "C" or higher in all certificate courses.
