BS - International Relations and Security - Cybersecurity Specialization

The Bachelor of Science degree with a major in International Relations and Security is a 42-hour program with specialization in Cybersecurity.

Students graduating from this program should be able to:

  • Analyze the effects of globalization upon the world political system, including the roles and interactions of both state and non-state actors.
  • Demonstrate the ability to conduct social science research and analysis.
  • Integrate legal, ethical, and biblical frameworks with the analysis of global affairs and conflict.
  • Demonstrate communication skills in a diverse, globalized, and changing technological context.
  • Describe the primary technical and human components of the cybersecurity environment. 
  • Evaluate the political, strategic, and ethical dimensions of the cybersecurity environment. 

Admission Requirements

The admission requirements for bachelor degree programs are as follows:

  • Original transcripts from all previous college or university study at college or university that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by both the U.S. Department of Education (USDoE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • Submission of all required items for the admission process as outlined in the "application procedures" section of the application packet.
  • Prior completion of at least 60 transferable credit hours is required before the student is eligible to start a bachelor core program.

Graduation Requirements

To graduate with a baccalaureate degree with a major in International Relations and Security from the College of Adult and Professional Studies at Indiana Wesleyan University, the following requirements must be met:

  • Completion of 120 semester hours.
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
  • Completion of the required core courses with a GPA of 2.25 or higher.
  • Completion of 30 hours of general education as specified (General Education Requirements).
  • Payment of all tuition and fees is required to receive a diploma.
