Tuition and Technology Fee
For courses consisting of 4-6 workshops
- If a student attends only the first week of the course, all charges are forgiven except books and embedded resources.
- If a student attends during the 2nd week of the course, tuition and tech fee are refunded 75%.
- If a student attends during the 3rd week of the course, tuition and tech fee are refunded 50%.
- If the student attends 4 weeks or more, there is no refund.
For courses consisting of at least 7 workshops
- If a student attends only the first week of the course, all charges are forgiven except books and embedded resources.
- If a student attends during the 2nd week of the course, tuition and tech fee are refunded 75%.
- If a student attends during the 3rd or 4th week of the course, tuition and tech fee are refunded 50%.
- If the student attends 5 weeks or more, there is no refund.
For GEN-104 (2 week introductory course)
Certain programs begin with a 2-week introduction to online learning titled GEN-104. This course introduces the student to the Learning Management System, and the values and workshop style of Indiana Wesleyan University. If a student enrolled in an associate program completes GEN-104, but does not establish attendance in a subsequent course, all charges for GEN-104 will be forgiven.
Changes to a student’s schedule may affect their financial aid. Call the Financial Aid Office for information.
Other Fees
Fees that are unique to a program are refunded at the discretion of the School responsible for the program. These refunds are granted according to the student’s attendance and when the fee is incurred by the School.
The Educational Resource Fee (ERF):
- Once attendance has been established in a course, the relevant amount of the ERF is non-refundable.
- The ERF is a $250 fee charged in the first course of a program, or the first course which is longer than 2 weeks.
- If the student attends only the 1st course of the program, $150 of the fee will be refunded.
- No other ERF refunds will be granted.
Textbooks Shipped by Tree of Life
Refunds for textbook charges are issued at the sole discretion of Tree of Life, according to their established refund policies. To avoid unnecessary charges, students should:
- Return each rental textbook at the completion of each class
- The textbook may be returned to Tree of Life for credit if the student contacts Customer Support within 14 days of the course start date. Promptly contact Tree of Life for a Return Authorization for Credit for a course from which you have withdrawn.
- Refunds issued by Tree of Life will be applied as a credit to the student account.
Indiana Wesleyan University is not responsible for issuing refunds for Rentals not Returned, books not received, or books for withdrawn courses. All textbook issues should be immediately addressed with Customer Care at Tree of Life in order to receive the appropriate credit.
