LOG-105 Principles of Logistics and Supply Chain Management

This course will provide students with a broad understanding of supply chain management. A focus on how logistics meets the needs of the 21st century and the global economy will be addressed. The fundamentals and principles of logistics and supply chain management will be presented in a context that prepares students to better understand and address logistics and supply chain issues facing organizations today. Students will apply biblical and ethical principles to logistics and supply chain management concepts.

LOG-120 Introduction to Procurement and Contracting

This course will introduce students to purchasing management and the fundamentals of sourcing material and services. Topics covered will include the importance of proper specifications, buying authority, vendor selection and management, purchasing policies, transportation planning, returns, and inventory control. The course will focus on the importance of total cost control and establishing a sustainable competitive advantage based on procurement. The course will integrate biblical and ethical principles into contracting and procurement applications and practices.
