FINC-521 Risk Management

This course focuses on the practice of risk management through the use of insurance. Topics include principles of risk and insurance, analysis and evaluation of risk exposure, health and health care cost management, disability income insurance, long-term care insurance, life insurance, taxation of life insurance, business uses of insurance, insurance needs analysis, and insurance company and policy selection. The course also includes the foundational principles of financial planning, including the financial planning process. Throughout this course, students will integrate biblical principles and the Virtuous Business Model into risk management.
