Students in this course will sharpen the communication skills needed to be effective visionaries and leaders in business. Students will analyze the role of communication in making, influencing, and implementing decisions based upon the Virtuous Business Model. This course will provide student opportunities to practice the presentational and interpersonal communication skills needed to build relationships in a world of diverse cultural and professional backgrounds. Application and implementation of course theories and concepts in an organizational setting will be addressed through embedded, experiential learning experiences and activities within the course
Students in this course will identify and analyze opportunities and problems that emerge in business and assess underlying assumptions, cognitive biases, and organizational barriers that affect decision-making processes. Students will construct arguments using quantitative and qualitative data to derive logical reasoning, demonstrate the use of the Virtuous Business model to make ethical decisions, and communicate those decisions using conventional and contemporary communication tools in ways that are understandable to multiple stakeholders.
