AVP-211 Certified Flight Instructor Knowledge
This course provides students instruction to prepare for the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) to successfully complete the Fundamentals of Instructing Knowledge Test and Flight Instructor-Airplane Knowledge Test. Students will learn human behavior and effective communication, the learning process, the teaching process, instructor responsibilities and professionalism, techniques of flight instruction, and risk management. They will also demonstrate mastery of the technical knowledge from private through the commercial certificate, including logbook entries and endorsements. Credit for this course is contingent on passing the FAA Fundamentals of Instructing and Flight Instructor-Airplane Knowledge tests with a mandatory minimum passing score of 70%. To pass the course, students must pass each exam within two (2) attempts. If additional exam attempts are required, students may require additional hours of ground school instruction beyond the course minimum to pass the course, resulting in additional fees. Students who possess and present a valid FAA Flight Instructor Certificate will be granted credit for this course. The course is to be taken concurrently with flight lessons. The course is to be taken concurrently with AVP-212. Prerequisite: AVP-101, AVP-102, AVP-111, AVP-112, AVP-201, AVP-202, AVP-203
