AVP-201 Commercial Pilot Knowledge

This course provides students instruction to prepare for the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Commercial Pilot Airplane Knowledge Test. Topics include flight safety, advanced aerodynamics, aircraft performance charts and limitations, weight and balance, complex aircraft performance, aviation weather, high altitude physiology, navigation and communication, the Air Traffic Control and national airspace system, Federal regulations pertaining to commercial operations. Credit for this course is contingent on passing the FAA Commercial Pilot Airplane Knowledge exam with a mandatory minimum passing score of 70%. To pass the course, students must pass the exam within two (2) attempts. If additional exam attempts are required, students may require additional hours of ground school instruction beyond the course minimum to pass the course, resulting in additional fees. Students who possess and present a valid FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate will be granted credit for this course. The course is to be taken concurrently with AVP-202, unless approved otherwise.
