MISS-650 Sociology of Religion

This course introduces the major theoretical frameworks and research methodologies of sociology of religion. Students will examine the relationship between various socio-cultural factors (e.g. race, gender, political alignment) and religious beliefs and practices in the United States. Students will explore the ways sociology informs and influences Christian ministry and engagement with society. This course is only offered as part of an accelerated master's degree program.
