Undergraduate Certificate - Essential Business Practices

The Essential Business Practices Certificate is designed to equip students with foundational knowledge, skills, and abilities to engage in a variety of business practices. Key business practices and applications in personal financial management, business communications, management, software applications, and accounting functions will be addressed. Concepts and applications presented will integrate a biblical and ethical framework to guide students in business and personal decision-making processes. The certificate serves as a stackable credential that not only helps prepare learners for gainful employment but provides a pathway to the associate degree.

Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:

  • Apply financial concepts to personal money management. 
  • Demonstrate foundational business communication skills. 
  • Apply business management principles to real-life business scenarios. 
  • Utilize software applications to manage business transactions and functions. 
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform basic accounting functions. 
  • Utilize entrepreneurship principles to create a strategic plan for launching a small business enterprise.
  • Integrate a biblical and ethical framework that guides business and personal decision-making.

Admission Requirements

  • Proof of standard high school diploma, GED certification, or country equivalent.

Completion Requirements

  • Complete the 18 credit hours with a grade of at least a “C” in each course.
  • Payment of all tuition and fees is required to receive certificate.
