WSEM-500ES Introduction to Seminary Studies

This course prepares students to face the academic demands of a master's level program. The course seeks to expand the capacity and competency of new students concerning adult learning, reading, writing, and doing research at the post-graduate level. Emphasis will be placed on andragogy as an approach to graduate education, on autonomous learning, and on problem-based learning. In addition, students will develop a multi-disciplinary conceptual frameworks that will enable them to do critical studies -that integrate biblical studies, theology, Church history, and spiritual formation- in order to formulate viable solutions to the work of the ministry.

WSEM-501ES Pastor, Church, and World

This course explores the nature, purpose, and practices of pastoral ministry in a variety of contexts. The student examines their vocational calling, abilities, personality, and experiences as theological inputs for their ministry. The student is introduced to the concepts of church and world as contexts for ministry.
