MIN-111 Principles of Teaching the Bible

This course is an analysis of the teaching-learning transaction. It incorporates contemporary teaching methods with the teaching ministry of Jesus. It includes insights from the social sciences and implications for developing a biblical approach, strategy, and style as a teacher.

MIN-112 Ministry Leadership Lab I A

This course involves a second experiential learning within the local church context, wherein students participate in introductory practical ministry and leadership experiences. Students will engage in and reflect on introductory service opportunities and interactions with local church leadership. Special attention is given to experiences that will orient students to their ministry calling and prepare them for continued service in a local church setting. Ministry Leadership Lab I provide the framework for subsequent lab courses in the ministry leadership programs. This course may be repeated one time for credit. Not open to students with credit in MIN-240

This course introduces students to foundational issues of personal leadership for local church ministry. Students explore the foundational elements of healthy self-leadership, developing influence relationships, and envisioning fulfillment of the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. MIN-175 Foundations of Leadership, Followership, and Discipleship

This course introduces students to foundational issues of followership and discipleship for leadership in the local church context. Students explore the essential nature of discipleship, followership, and their relationship to leadership. Students will also examine the relationship between healthy followership and following Jesus Christ as his disciple. Prerequisites: BIL-201 or BIL-202, and THE-201
