AVP-112 Instrument Pilot Flight Training

This course prepares students for the required FAA Instrument Rating - Airplane Practical Test. The course is designed to train students to perform to current Airmen Certification Standards (ACS) in ground and flight operations. Students will learn preflight preparation and procedures, ATC procedures, flight by reference to instruments, navigation systems, instrument approach procedures, emergency operations, and postflight procedures. Instruction is given in single-engine aircraft and approved simulators and is taken concurrently with AVP-111. Applicable fees will apply. Students must possess a FAA Class 3 or above FAA Medical Certificate and be at least 17 years old upon completion. Credit for this course is contingent on passing the FAA Instrument Rating Certificate Practical Exam. If additional exam attempts are required, students may require additional hours of flight instruction beyond the course minimum to pass the course, resulting in additional fees. Students who possess and present a valid FAA Pilot Certificate with an Instrument Rating will be granted credit for this course. The course is to be taken concurrently with AVP-111. Prerequisite: AVP-101 and AVP-102
