HST-102 American History II

This course is a survey of primary individuals, events, and themes of American history from the end of the Civil War up to the present era. Political, social, economic, religious, and military topics from the following eras will be covered: Reconstruction & the Gilded Age, Wilsonian Progressivism, World War I and the "Return to Normalcy" (1920's), the Great Depression, New Deal, World War II, the Cold War (including Korea & Vietnam) through the Reagan Administrations, and post-Cold War America (including global terrorism). Not open to students with credit in HST-212.
